This project aims to develop a new laboratory model of the aortic valve, integrating engineering techniques with a biologically derived scaffold repopulated with human cells. This model will help to understand how the valve becomes stiff and calcified over time, leading to aortic stenosis. This model will allow for testing treatments and drug delivery methods tailored to individual patient needs.
