Irreversibile end-plate disruption might explain treatment-refractory symptoms in myasthenia gravis, characterised by autoreactive antibody-mediated block at the neuromuscular junction (NMJ). We will employ human-derived neuromuscular organoids exposed to patient serum to uncover pathogenic mechanisms responsible for NMJ damage and to identify molecular targets to enhance regeneration.
