This Call for Proposals aims to strengthen the quality and impact of biomedical research by promoting the return to Italy of researchers with proven international experience. This Call for Proposals aims to support innovative research projects that demonstrate high scientific quality, an interdisciplinary approach and clear translational potential, as well as a concrete ability to transfer results, knowledge, and innovative solutions to the Regional Healthcare System in the short and medium term.

Particular attention will be given to initiatives able to generate a structural and lasting impact on the Lombardy region, contributing to the development of new lines of research, the strengthening of stable scientific and clinical collaborations and the overall growth of the regional biomedical research ecosystem.

The thematic areas identified by the Call are the following:

• Antibiotic Resistance;

• Cardiology;

• Rare Diseases;

• Neurology;

• Oncology;

• Pediatrics.

The call is open to researchers wishing to develop a research project at the following entities of the Regional Health System (ASST, public or private IRCCS, ATS, and AREU) located in Lombardy.

Maximum grant available: €1.500.000,00 per project, lasting 60 months.

The call provides for the allocation of funds for the transfer/reallocation/rental of the PI.
